The food is excellent overall. The chips are perfectly crisp, and the buns, though slightly dry, are still enjoyable. The mild, lemon herb, and BBQ sauces are flavorful with a subtle hint of heat.
The chips are comparable to Steers in quality. I tried the Double Up Snack Roll with chips, as well as the Saucy Chicken Strips with pap. The chicken strips were delicious, and the pap was perfectly prepared, rich in flavor.
I highly recommend this place. You can choose to dine in or take away. The dining area is open-plan, offering a pleasant street view, and is situated in a covered space for comfortable seating.
The only drawback is the car guards, though this is beyond the restaurant's control.
Overall, the food is very affordable, with a satisfying meal for three costing approximately R150.
