My family and I enjoy visiting Galito’s at Lakeside Mall when we’re craving flame-grilled chicken with bold flavour. It’s a convenient stop while shopping, and the food is usually satisfying and filling. What stands out most for us is the variety on the menu. You can choose your flavour, portion size, and sides, which makes it easy for everyone to find something they like. My sister especially loves their rice bowls, they’re well portioned, tasty, and feel like a complete meal. Their classic meals like the quarter, half, or full chicken are always a good option, and the Hot Box meals are great for sharing. The chicken livers in Portuguese-style sauce are also a popular choice if you want something a little different. They also offer burgers, snack rolls, pap with sishebo, chips, coleslaw, spicy rice, morogo, and salads, so there’s a good mix of comfort food and lighter options. For people with dietary preferences, there are salads and vegetable-based sides like morogo, chilli beans, and coleslaw. The menu allows you to mix and match sides, which helps if you want a more balanced plate. The store being Halaal is also important and appreciated, making it accessible to more families in the community. The seating area is comfortable, the mall location makes it easy to access, and it’s generally kid-friendly for families eating out together. It’s also wheelchair accessible due to being inside the mall.
